Overclocking

With clock speeds set so high out of the box, we were sceptical about achieving much more. Still, we did the usual and set MSI Afterburner to the maximum power and temperature limits (111 percent and 88°C respectively) and applied 100 percent to the voltage slider.

Even a 50MHz boost proved unattainable with these settings, so we dialled it back to 1,870MHz (a 40MHz increase), which is just two percent more than the original boost clock.

The memory was overclocked to 15.4Gbps without issue, which is a healthier 10 percent increase.
